Just a quick heads up to let you know that a few more changes will be taking place shortly at Traffic Punk.

Finally here..
Several months ago, I had designed a new social networking/chat feature that unfortunately was put on hold as I waited for a partner TE to complete a joint project.
That project never saw fruition, the TE owner sold his exchange and left a few of us hanging. But that’s ok..
So with that said, it gave me a little more time to tweak a couple things and finally provide you with a great way to expand your marketing reach.

What is it?
Traffic Punk finally has a chat feature. While its nothing new to traffic exchanges, I still believe its a great way to get to know your fellow surfers, network, share ideas and make some new friends. You may notice the appearance is a bit similar to the chat at Promolotto and that is because I once owned that exchange and designed the chat feature there.

Built-in Social Networking
To take advantage of both the chat and social networking features, all you have to do is log in, add your social network IDs for sites like Facebook, twitter, Youtube, etc. and surf.
That’s pretty much it.
Besides interacting with members via chatting, you can also view a member’s “virtual business card” by simply clicking on their name in the chat.
Doing this will bring up a nice, non-intrusive popup that displays the member’s name, photo and social networking icons, so you know who you’re communicating with and if interested, connect with.
By moving the mouse away from the popup, it will close.
You may also minimize the chat panel any time if you do not wish to participate but of course, I recommend leaving it open and interacting with the community.
To re-open the chat panel, all you have to do is click on the red text to the right that says “Open chat”

A Few Basics
While this should be obvious, I think its still important enough to mention.
Please be professional and courteous of others and avoid spamming, inciting, harassing, etc. We’d like to maintain a professional atmosphere where all are not only welcome but feel welcome too.

websites ASAP.
However, in most cases, people do not have the money to pay for advertising.

There are many ways to drive traffic to a website, depending on your budget and the time you have available to work on building your online business.

Here are just a couple low cost ways to generate traffic to your website.

1.      Offer free reports and content.
Giving away some freebies and including your website URL in those freebies is an effective and low cost way of building traffic to your website. You can write some useful short reports with your website link in them and offer those reports for free on a website where you ask visitors to leave their email address before they download the free reports or articles. This means you can give away the report with your URL and also build a list.

2.      Blog!  Blogging is a very effective way of building traffic to your website.
On your blog, you can discuss your website’s products and services and add some links to your website.
You can also answer any questions your prospects and customers may have.
By blogging regularly, you will have fresh content that may get your website indexed by search engines and rank higher on these search engines.
This increase in visibility will increase your overall website traffic.

3.      Publish your own newsletter.
Having your own newsletter where you offer free tips and content on a regular basis can help to increase traffic to your website dramatically.
Your newsletter should have links to your website, so your readers will also visit your website.

4.      Join a forum related to the products or services you sell on your website.
By answering questions and helping people in your niche on a related forum, you can drive traffic by adding your website URL in your signature in the forum posts.
Be genuine and avoid spamming just to get your link seen! Trust can go a long way, so build relationships and be helpful whenever possible.

5.      Exchange links with websites that have high popularity (PR) rank.
All you need to do is to find websites that are related to what you offer on your website and exchange links with these sites.
This is particularly effective if the websites have high page rank on search engines.
By doing this, some traffic will come your way through the websites you are linked to.

6.     Join a free Traffic Exchange.
The way they work is very simple. You add your website and view sites belonging to others in exchange for credits.
You assign these credits to your own website, where others view your site and so the same.

These are just some basic, easy ways you can start driving traffic to your website.
