Just a quick heads up to let you know that a few more changes will be taking place shortly at Traffic Punk.

Finally here..
Several months ago, I had designed a new social networking/chat feature that unfortunately was put on hold as I waited for a partner TE to complete a joint project.
That project never saw fruition, the TE owner sold his exchange and left a few of us hanging. But that’s ok..
So with that said, it gave me a little more time to tweak a couple things and finally provide you with a great way to expand your marketing reach.

What is it?
Traffic Punk finally has a chat feature. While its nothing new to traffic exchanges, I still believe its a great way to get to know your fellow surfers, network, share ideas and make some new friends. You may notice the appearance is a bit similar to the chat at Promolotto and that is because I once owned that exchange and designed the chat feature there.

Built-in Social Networking
To take advantage of both the chat and social networking features, all you have to do is log in, add your social network IDs for sites like Facebook, twitter, Youtube, etc. and surf.
That’s pretty much it.
Besides interacting with members via chatting, you can also view a member’s “virtual business card” by simply clicking on their name in the chat.
Doing this will bring up a nice, non-intrusive popup that displays the member’s name, photo and social networking icons, so you know who you’re communicating with and if interested, connect with.
By moving the mouse away from the popup, it will close.
You may also minimize the chat panel any time if you do not wish to participate but of course, I recommend leaving it open and interacting with the community.
To re-open the chat panel, all you have to do is click on the red text to the right that says “Open chat”

A Few Basics
While this should be obvious, I think its still important enough to mention.
Please be professional and courteous of others and avoid spamming, inciting, harassing, etc. We’d like to maintain a professional atmosphere where all are not only welcome but feel welcome too.

Without traffic, a website will not make any sales and the online home business will fail.
It is therefore important that you know how to drive traffic to your website.

You can increase website traffic on any budget and I’ve included 8 quick and easy ways below:

1.      Provide fresh, unique and useful content on your website.
People go online to look for information and also buy what they need.
It is therefore important for you to have high quality, unique content on your website so that visitors to
your website will spend more time on your website, bookmark your website and also buy from you.
In addition, if you have lots of useful information on your website, you will be considered as an expert in
your niche, and you will therefore easily get customers.

2.      Optimize your website for search engines!
This one is often overlooked. In order for your site to be found on the search engines when people are
looking for information, make sure that your niche keywords and phrases are in your headlines and in
the rest of the content on your website.
This will help your website rank higher when people look for those keywords on your website, and this
will drive more traffic to your website.

3.      Use PPC (Pay per Click) advertising
If you have the money to pay for the advertising, you can run an advert with Google Adwords or
Yahoo to increase website traffic.

4.      Write and submit articles
This is a very powerful tool for driving traffic to your website. In all your articles, make sure you have a
resources box or author’s biography which will your website’s URL.
After reading your article, people will want to visit your website, so the more articles you write,
the more traffic you will drive to your website.

5.      Participate in related forums
This is one of the most effective ways of driving traffic to your website.
Make useful posts in the forums that are related to your niche, and have your website link in
your signature.
Never join or contribute to a forum for the purpose of spamming. Get involved!

6.      Use viral marketing techniques
Write free e-books or short reports with a link to your website.
Have a link to your website on your blog and on any press release that you write.
Also, it is easy to rebrand ebooks from other authors if they provide the option.

7.      Use video marketing.
You can create a video about your product or service that you offer on your website and
post that on YouTube.
Add your website link on that video, and this will make sure that people who view your video will also
visit your website.

8.      Use Manual Traffic Exchanges.
Last, but not least, another great way to get the word out about you and your website, is to
use a manual traffic exchange.
They are very easy to use, have a targeted audience and most are free to join.
