Squeezepage Tips For Affiliate Marketers

Liz Tomey covers the anatomy of effective squeezepages and outlines some key points to boost your results.

ClickBank’s Jeff Leget on Analytics

Jeff Leget, Vice President of Business Data Services at ClickBank, discusses how clients and affiliates can get the most from their analytical data:

How NOT to Promote Clickbank Products

Rosalind Gardner goes on a rant about how NOT to promote products on Clickbank as an affiliate marketer:

Some affiliates are very successful in earning commissions while others fail to
make money online.
Over the last 10 years I’ve been doing this, I’ve seen so many people simply give up and quit.
What separates winners from losers in earning huge affiliate commissions?

I’ve put together some simple ideas that you can try out to help you win:

1.      Build your own mini-site where you promote relevant affiliate programs for your niche. By focusing your site on one niche, you can offer several affiliate products that you can hand pick from that niche. This gives your website visitors options to buy products they are interested in, which in turn boosts sales.

2.      Publish your own e-zine and build a big list of subscribers. By doing this, you can then promote your affiliate products to your list on a regular basis.

3.      Establish a marketing budget and the tools you will use to advertise your affiliate products. It is also important for you to test and track your ads and promotions for your affiliate programs to see which ones are the most effective.

4.      Carry out product reviews of the affiliate products you promote, indicating which programs have paid you most, and outline their attractive benefits. This will inform your customers about your products, and will also help to drive traffic to your website. You can also recommend your affiliate programs on your website or in your newsletter, or on your blog.
It is very important that you make sure that your affiliate product reviews honest.

5.      Give away freebies that have your affiliate links in them. This can involve giving away short reports, e-books or an e-course with your affiliate links in them.
A rebrandable report such as Affiliate Jumpstart is ideal for this.
You can also invite your website visitors to give away your reports and e-books to their own friends or distribute to their lists.

6.      Create a directory. This directory can be for articles, e-zines, e-books or affiliate programs. You can add your affiliate links in your directories, which will in turn boost your commissions as the directory grows in size and popularity.

Try a few or all of these methods out for size and you might be surprised at the difference that is made to your bottom line.

Before you join an affiliate program or decide to promote an affiliate product, there are certain key points you should consider if you want to be successful in earning affiliate commissions.

Choosing the right affiliate products or programs is essential if you want to succeed in making money online.

1.      It shouldn’t cost you money to join an affiliate program or to start promoting an affiliate product.  Some require that you pay to join – Avoid them.
Choose the affiliate programs that are FREE to join.

2.      The affiliate program or the product owner must provide you with the necessary marketing tools. If you have enough marketing tools, it’s easy for you to market your affiliate link and start to make sales quickly. You must look for affiliate programs or products that provide marketing tools as well as any necessary support.

3.      How popular is the product? You don’t want to try and promote a product for which there is no demand. It is important for you to make sure that the product or program you choose to promote is of high quality and is popular.

4.      The commission checks must be paid on a regular basis. Make sure that the affiliate program or the product owner will be paying you your commissions on a regular basis. Reputable networks such as Clickbank pay on regular schedules if commissions are earned.

5.      How much commission can you earn and can you earn residual income? Depending on the affiliate program or product, you can earn commissions between 30% and 70% for every sale you make. You must maximize your earning potential by promoting products for which you can earn high commissions. Chances are, a high quality product with high or even recurring commissions will be a winner for you.

I hope this will help to get you started. For more in-depth advice and tips on affiliate networks and choosing the most rewarding affiliate programs, be sure to check out my free Affiliate Jumpstart report.
