Hi Ryan,

I liked the PETE report as well, even like the videos that Mike did however when he threw in the $77 per month membership and all those OTO’s I had to back away from all that.

Did you join?

All the best,

I felt the same way pretty much, Mark.
It was great as a free stand-alone resource but when the PETE report morphed into the “BOA Method”, I didn’t join mainly for the reason that it seemed geared towards folks who have difficulties installing blogs and getting them going.
I feel pretty comfortable doing these things myself and thought I’d basically be throwing that $77 out the window every month.
IMO, thats a very steep price tag to make anyone pay just for having a blog setup when most CPanel users already have Fantastico to set it up for them.

I have learned a great deal from Mike Paetzold and feel his materials offer some of the biggest bang for the buck in this area.

thanks for visiting my site. i’m really new to all this. basically i have just dipped my toe into TE’s to get more exposure for my blog. TrafficPunk is amazing - i bought credits and my ‘readership’? went up to 125 per day just from TP. However…none left comments and none went anywhere on my site (i can see what folk are looking at)

is it all just an illusion? People clicking away earning credits and not reading anything because that would take longer than the 30s or so to continue surfing and earn more for their own site.

i think i would prefer 5 hits a day that I knew really were reading my posts, than 500 who might not even have focussed properly on their screens.

i hope i’m wrong and if i am…i’ll get some more credits from TP

best wishes

henry

ps any guidance/comments you can give would be most helpful

Hi Henry,

Thanks for the kind words! :)
While it certainly is no illusion that your blog is in fact being viewed by members in Traffic Exchanges including TrafficPunk, there are a few key items you may wish to consider..

First, what is the main goal you wish to accomplish with your blog?

Many folks who view blogs either briefly or for longer periods of time don’t always comment during their visit. In fact, the majority do not, regardless of the blog content.

The second, is that Traffic Exchanges attract elements of certain market niches which generally speaking, don’t include religious material.
Of course, there are always exceptions to this.
What people are mostly searching for in the exchanges are business opportunities, products, services or are seeking to grow their opt-in lists.

Depending on the goals you have, you may want to consider an opt in form if you have a newsletter. You can accomplish this very easily by creating a squeeze page and running that in the traffic exchanges instead of the blog.
The newsletter could remind your readers to return to the blog when new posts have been made.
You may also want to consider monetizing your blog somehow. Perhaps by offering spiritual products available for purchase or ads for religious items. :)

Hope that helps a little,
Ryan

It’s helped a lot Ryan - very incisive…especially about the direction(s) my site could take.

What I’m going to do is just continue enjoying writing, but also join forums (I see your name around) and get familiar with things before deciding to monetize my blog/site or not.

so thanks again…you’ll probably see me on a forum.

all the best

henry

Anytime, Henry :) If there’s anything else I can do to help, just let me know.
Best of luck and above all, have fun! :)
