Blog Rush Bites the Big One.
No, I’m not afraid to say it.
Although it was unfinished when released, Blog Rush seemed like it would be a cool little program with lots of potential at the time.- A Traffic Exchange of sorts but strictly for blogs.
I’m a sucker for cool new gadgets and toys.
Especially if they have anything to do with traffic generation or Internet Marketing.
However, something happened today that really pissed me off regarding Blog Rush.
It wasn’t the technical shortcomings of the program but rather a service style that in my opinion, leaves a lot to be desired.
After attempting to log into my Blog Rush account today with no success, I was notified that they had de-activated my account.
You see, they seem to have a problem with sites they feel are “advertising too much”.
Now, we all know this blog is about Internet Marketing, hence the title.
Advertising and the discussion of advertising services is the name of the game.
This blog fully abides by the guidelines they have set forth such as:
It is updated a minimum of once a month,
It does not contain, adult, illegal, racist, warez or other such material, blah blah blah.
Does not contain automatically generated content.
Has more than 10 posts.
TrafficPunk and Resale Rocket are services that I provide.
The purpose of this blog is to provide a forum of discussion of these services as well as Internet Marketing in general for members to receive updated information.
What bugs me the most is that after referring several members to Blog Rush, I can’t even log into an area to view my stats, referrals and credits I still have left in the system.
I’m completely locked out of my back office.
And to make it feel even more like I’m a child being called to the time out corner, they ask you to remove the Blog Rush code from your site.
Oh well, that’s cool. You guys are welcome.
I’ve heard some say that Blog Rush was dead on arrival.
Maybe there’s more than one reason for it?
It never delivered a single hit let alone a “Rush” anyway.
Good Riddance.

ah oh. I guess I’ll be heading on over to see what my status is as well. May too have been sent to the principal’s office and didn’t know it. That’s really too bad. Yes the negativity surrounding Blog Rush was out there almost before the thing got launched. That was enough to peek my curiosity (as obviously either the program or the owner had some enemies prior to launch). I’ve been reasonably pleased with the traffic although certainly not by any means a “rush,” but the elitism that goes with what they are doing, and how they are doing it, is problematic and certainly not reflective of today’s business climate. I may cancel my membership in protest (if I haven’t already been cast aside).
Sucky way to start the week huh?
Well, the week’s bound to improve.
Blogtommy
Lol. Yeah, I think you hit it right on the head, Tommy.
You won’t see me endorsing much from John Reese anytime soon, that’s for sure.
What? You didn’t get an email informing you they had removed their code? It was gone when I went to remove it myself. They were bragging that they had removed 10,000 blogs from their roll. Only problem, they removed GOOD blogs with information people could use. I never really wanted to join any way but they kept sending me emails begging me to sign up. What a crock. Like you I never got one hit from them, so far as I know. But I never saw any quality show up in their widget, only celebrity fluff.
As I said, good riddance. I have plenty high class blog aggregators that are happy to have Right Truth.
Thanks for the comment at Right Truth. Glad others feel the same.
Well that’s just bogus. 10,000 blogs blogging about how bad they are is definitely not going to help them get more users..
Ryan,
Was their actual reason that you advertise too much? or did they even bother to give an explanation?
I don’t understand how they can demand a location on a blog. Claiming that a low placement could be a reason for deleting an account. Seems kinda like shooting yourself in the foot.

Just FYI, Ilinked to your article from Blogrush is run by Idiots
