Time Management? My lack of focus has nearly destroyed my business. Trying to work on my time and focus issues so I can "REZ" myself back to money making status.

Maybe a follow up to this on how to use better Time Management would bring me back to RyanHogan.com :-)

Planning before I start and mapping out my day make a huge difference.

I have 3 must do's each day before I can go to forums, news sources, the sports and those are the 3 most important task from the mind map.

If I do that thinkgs work well if I don't have my mind map it becomes a wasted day so time management is extremely important.

I've actually spent a lot of time creating my own organization/scheduling systems for time management. I can't say I've been successful doing it, but being more in control of my time has been incredibly helpful.

2. I have to figure out a way to like what I'm doing, If I like it, It's much easier to stay on task.

3. I dunno...

4. Yes, If I like/want to do something else.

5. Right now I just work whenever I feel like it lol, I want a daily schedule though.

So yeah, its pretty bad right now... going to take a look at that RescueTime service.

Ryan, I know for a fact that my time management skills are completely lacking. That's something I plan to work on when I get into my new home. Right now I'm working on my laptop at the kitchen table so it's harder for me to be organized enough.

I'm hoping that getting a REAL home office set up will help me get a daily schedule set up and really help me take my business to the next level time management wise.

Great post! Looking forward to seeing more

There is a service called RescueTime that I started using a week or so ago. It sits in your taskbar and tracks what programs you are using and what websites you goto. You can then tag domains and programs for different categories (IE: gmail.com and AIM for communication). Then you can see first hand that you play too many games! (ok, so I already knew that).

But yeah time management is way difficult when it's a one man show and you have a toddler and a pregnant wife and work at home. Oh and my office door is now open because we only have wiring for one air conditioner right now! So this program helps me realize how much time I spend on what, so I can figure out where to improve!
