The Affiliate Funnel Surfer’s Choice
As most of you may already know, Jon Olson and Paul Kinder of Affiliate Funnel
recently announced a new ranking system for traffic exchanges..

Over the last few days, there has been much debate over this ranking system and
I’ll admit, I had some questions of my own.
Among my concerns, a couple of them were that this might be just another “topsite” or
another voting/popularity contest that could be easily cheated or manipulated.

I’ve seen several topsites come and go for traffic programs over the years and never
really was a fan of them.
So rather than follow the herd, I decided to give things a couple days to sort themselves out.
A few days have passed now and it seems Jon and Paul have done a really good job as far as
improving the ranker and tackling issues as they receive feedback.
After paying close attention to this ranker, it has become quite clear to me that this is NOT
just another topsite or a spin on one.
In addition to having a blog, I believe it’s actually a neat way to give surfer’s a voice when it comes to the Traffic Exchanges they like.

One thing you will not see from me are emails from TrafficPunk asking you to pretty please go vote for TrafficPunk.

Free Resources:
Being that we’re avid surfers, the topic of Internet Security often comes up.
How many of you are not yet using a firewall?
I won’t get into too much technical detail here, but a firewall is perhaps one of the
most important lines of defense we have besides our anti-virus programs in terms
of online protection.

A free firewall I use and recommend is Zone Alarm:

If you already have a firewall program installed or a firewall on your router enabled
or a combination of the two as I do, you should check and see if your computer is still vulnerable
to outside threats by checking out “Shields Up!”

Shields Up! is a free service that will run a complete scan for you to test your firewall settings
in order to see if you are still vulnerable to hackers, etc.
if vulnerabilities are found, it will show you how to plug the leaks, so to speak.
Try to shoot for “Stealth Mode” if you can.
