Last week, my dedicated server for TrafficPunk was having some technical issues which affected overall loading speed, so I apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused.

I will be taking a much needed vacation this week.
After years of wanting to go, I’m finally bound for Hawaii.
I’ll be leaving on the 30th and will be returning the night of October 6th.
I’m bringing the laptop along and will be checking email from time to time incase anyone has support questions, needs to get in touch or wants to tell me how much I suck for going to Hawaii without them.

I’m currently working on revamping some of the splashpages

On another note:
I’ve been asked the same questions many times from would-be Internet Marketers
who are just just getting started.
Some are frustrated in their lack of results online, some are promoting 50 different things at once and others have spent several hundred dollars on get rich quick programs just to find themselves with less money than they started with.

The best advice I can give the new internet marketer is this:
Keep things simple.
You can do this by having a plan, asking questions and taking action!
Sure, we all want to be millionaires, but what are some realistic goals you would like to accomplish in the short term? How about the long term?
The truth that nobody wants to hear or tell you for that matter is that making
money online does require some effort. Yes, the dreaded “W” word.. Work!
Without a plan, you will quickly find yourself spinning your wheels and the answers to your questions might come much later than sooner.

Get involved with the marketing community and ask questions. Join forums,
read blogs etc.
Once you have your key questions answered, you can begin to plan out what it is you
intend to accomplish online. Is this a part time hobby? Will this be treated like a business?
Be honest with yourself.
Start out small, keep yourself focused and know your product well.

The most important step finally is to take action.
You don’t have to be perfect at everything but nothing happens unless you try.
For example, if all the traffic exchange owners are advising members to use splash pages or lead capture pages instead of generic affiliate pages believe me, there is a pretty good reason.
Try it. Take action!

Welcome to another weekly update

World Internet Main Event:
Well, as you may or may not already know, the World Internet Main Event is
THE ‘place to be’ right now.
I hope those of you who were able to make it, are having an excellent time.
This is the one taking place in San Francisco from the 13th to the 17th
kicked off by Mike Filsaime and a few other top internet marketers.
Unfortunately, I was unable to make it to this event so Im a little bummed about that.
Fortunately, there is a different event taking place in DC just around the corner so hopefully, I’ll get a chance to meet some of you in person soon.
